Being sorted as Deep Winter
The depth is identical, so people sort on that alone. Temperature is the axis that separates them, and Deep Autumn in cool winter colours looks slightly grey.
Avoiding dark colours in summer
Deep colouring does not become lighter in July. A deep teal or dark olive in a light fabric solves the seasonal problem without abandoning the palette.
