Work out what suits you, and see the measurements behind it

Six free tools for face shape, hairstyle, glasses, body shape, colour season and skin undertone. Each one works from your own photo, measurements or answers, shows the numbers it used, and says how close the runner-up was. Nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up.

Oblong came within twelve points, so this reads as a close call and the hairstyle and glasses tools offer both sets of advice instead of pretending it was clean.

Every season, every colour

12 seasons · 72 shades

These are the actual palettes the colour tool works from, not a sample. Point at one to hold it. Twelve seasons rather than the old four, because four cannot separate someone light and cool from someone deep and cool.

There are a dozen sites like this. Here is what they do not do.

01

You see the numbers, not just a label

Every result shows the measurements behind it and how close the runner-up was. If your jaw and cheekbones are within two percent of each other, you should know that, because it means the label could go either way and both sets of advice are worth trying.

02

More than one way in, and you pick

Not everyone wants to point a camera at their face. Face shape takes a photo, a live camera, a tape measure or three plain questions, and all four routes end at the same result. Every other tool offers at least two ways in, including one that needs no equipment at all. Nothing is locked behind whichever route happens to be the default.

03

Your photo never leaves the device

Face analysis runs in your browser using an on-device model. There is no upload, no account, and no image stored on a server, because there is no server involved in the reading at all.

04

One answer feeds the next

Find your face shape and the hairstyle and glasses tools already know it. Find your undertone and the colour tool starts from it. You build one picture instead of retyping yourself into six separate quizzes.

Where the seven shapes actually sit

measured ratios
ovalroundsquareheartdiamondoblongtrianglelength ÷ cheekbone width →jaw ÷ cheekbone →

Round and square sit 0.04 apart on length and 0.09 apart on jaw. That is the entire difference between them, and it is why two sites can give you two different answers from the same face. Ours shows you where you landed rather than only what it decided.

The shapes are positions, not boxes

Every other site hands you one of seven words and moves on. They are not seven separate things. They are seven positions on two continuous measurements, and several of them sit close enough together that a couple of millimetres decides which name you get.

That is the honest reason people get a different answer on every site they try. It is not that one of them is broken. It is that nobody shows you the gap. Hover a shape to find it on the plot.

What you actually walk away with

A category name on its own is not useful. Knowing you are a Soft Autumn does not tell you which of the six navy jumpers in the shop to buy. So every result comes out as three things you can act on the same day.

  • A palette or a shape you can keep

Save it to the device, print it, or carry it into the next tool. It is yours without an email address.

  • Words to say out loud

The hairstyle tool gives you a sentence to read to a stylist. The glasses tool gives you a frame width in millimetres to check against a label.

  • What to avoid, and why

Half the value is knowing which shade or cut works against you, and the reason, so you can judge the next thing you see for yourself.

  • UmberUmber, #817C6B

Muted, warm and mid-depth. The tool also lists what to keep away from your face, which for this season is pure white, icy pastels and anything with a blue base.

Popular is not the same as suits you

Nine named cuts account for over 1.6 million searches a month between them. Every magazine will rank them for you. None of them will tell you that four of the nine work against a face that is round or wide at the jaw, because that is a measurement and they do not have one.

The chart is search volume. The coloured chips underneath each row are the face shapes the cut actually flatters, worked out from what it does to an outline. Those two columns disagree more often than anyone selling the cuts has reason to mention.
